How we amplified impact

Taking place on the shores of Cosy Corner Beach, Compass generated media coverage nationwide, with the key intention of increasing awareness of and empowering locals to attend the paddle out and show solidarity against the devastating seismic blasting plans.

120 Pieces of Coverage

Compass secured press coverage across a range of outlets (70% of which was broadcast), including ABC, Channel Seven, and The Herald Sun.

31.3 Million

Number of people reached by Compass' PR coverage. Such wide spread media reach helped Ben & Jerry’s and Surfrider Australia break the unofficial record for those attending a paddle out.

1,200 Attendees

Number of people who attended the paddle out event - easily breaking the previous record of 600 people.
